Who are we?
The Ohio Valley Camera Club was started in 1958 when Willis Cook and Corbin Miller shared the idea of bringing amateur photographers together to share experiences and explore new ideas.
Throughout four decades, members of the Ohio Valley Camera Club have aimed, clicked and captured that “decisive moment“ to be shared by family and friends.
Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. Photo competitions are held during the first meeting of the month. Programs on various aspects of photography are scheduled for the second meeting of each month.

What Makes a Great Image?
What makes a great image? This is what every photographer strives for and may be the hardest thing to define. It is what we keep spending insane amounts of our hard earned cash on…equipment. Striving for that perfect image is what gets us up at 5:00 a.m. only to go stand in the rain waiting for the perfect time for that perfect shot. It is also why we travel hundreds of miles on a photographic pilgrimage to listen to a photographic master pass little tidbits of secrets upon us as though we were disciples of our faith finding out the secrets of life.
